Aboriginal Art

From the Land Down Under, Australia is widly know for its ABORIGINALART. Rock art dates back some 40,000 years ago. Aboriginal art was put into work by story telling, myths, rituals, and sorcery.

Aboriginalart is compiled of “Dot” paintings. A Dot painting is formed by using dots to aquire certain symbols, or shapes of animals used to tell a story or myth. Tree bark is also used in Aboriginalart to paint on and to make sculptures. Aboriginal art is also known for its boomerangs, ceramics, and digeridoo’s.

Boomerangs are sometimes used as a hunting device to catch an animal, ceramics are used for cooking and pretty arts, and the digeriridoo’s are an instrument used to drone into as the Aborigini peoples imitate the sounds of nature around them while playing.
